沙角炮台

沙角炮台: 在虎门海口东侧沙角山。
与大角炮台东西斜峙形成虎门海防第一重门户。
沙角炮台建成后不久改为信号台，凡外国般只入境，必先停泊沙角大洋面外。
候我水师检查印凭，获准后，沙角炮台即放信号炮一响，官兵各就位监视来船过境。
如有不法船只进境则放空炮一响，命船停泊，听候检查。
如违命则打炮一发示警，再违则瞄准开炮；并知会各有关炮台备战或参战。
现尚存清道光十五年（1835年）佛山铸造约6.000斤大铁炮一尊。
